To Wax or Not to Wax?
That is the Question…
I went to high school in the 90’s. As I look back at pictures, one thing I totally cringe about (besides the ridiculously big hair and high waisted jeans) is my eye brows. Come to think about it, everyone’s eye brows were super sparse. And, we never even tried to fill them in with a brow pencil. When it came to waxing our brows; the thinner they were, the better. Now, 15 years later; I look at my brows in the mirror with pride and smile. It took me years to grow them in to the thickness that I desired, and I personally am so glad that I did.
So, when it comes to brows, should you wax them or let them grow? What’s the verdict from the make-up pros? I’d say that 9 out of 10 beauty enthusiasts and experts recommend letting them fill in. By all means, wax your brows to maintain shape and structure, but grow them in so they look thicker and fuller. Here are a few reasons why you should consider taking a break from wax for a while.
- You Look Younger
Thick brows make you look more youthful and rejuvenated. Eyes look well rested, brighter, and fine lines are less likely to get noticed!
- They Frame Your Face
Thicker, feathered brows frame your face and draw major attention to your eyes. They help balance features and they can also help a face look more symmetrical, which is most associated with beauty.
- You Need Less Make Up
I noticed that because your brows are bigger and bushier, they really dress up your face. So, when you wear your make up heavier with them, you begin to look clown like and slightly ridiculous. You can actually get away with wearing less make up and look more au natural!
Bigger brows are better. Keep these three points in mind and try to fill your own in a bit. You’re bound to notice a difference and will love and welcome your new look!
